iPhone production unlikely to take a big hit from lockdown in Shenzhen

Despite the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak in Shenzen, Apple is unlikely to experience a big hit to iPhone production.

J.P. Morgan analysts revealed to Reuters that the impact from the lockdown is limited (~10%) due to the off-peak season and small production exposure. Foxconn says it will activate backup production facilities to minimise disruption.

While the lockdown in Shenzen will not affect production of semiconductors, the analysts warn that global LCD panel supply could be disrupted and may impact the iPad.
