iPhone 13 rumoured to have 40MP telephoto lens and 40MP ultra-wide angle lens
While the upcoming iPhone 12 models are expected to come with a bigger camera sensor and sensor-shift stabilisation, next year's iPhone lineup is rumoured to sport super high megapixel cameras.
Tipster @choco_bit shared in a tweet that the iPhone 13 may come with four rear cameras consisting of a 64MP standard wide-angle lens (1x optical zoom and 6x digital zoom), a 40MP telephoto lens (with 3-5x optical zoom and 15-20x digital zoom), a 64MP anamorphic lens for video capture (2.1:1), and a 40MP .25x min ultra-wide angle lens with optical reverse zoom. There will also be a LiDAR Scanner dubbed LiDAR 4.0.
The tipster cautions that this information should be taken with a grain of salt and Apple has refrained from joining the megapixel race with other Android phone makers. Small high-resolution sensors generally have issues with noise and dynamic range. Nonetheless, we are still more than a year away from the debut of the iPhone 13 and the final specs are likely to change.
