New iPhone batteries have appeared on several certification sites.

Spotted by MySmartPrice, the new iPhone batteries are rated 2,227mAh, 2,775mAh and 3,687mAh for A2471, A2431and A2466 respectively. As Apple is expected to unveil four new iPhone models, it is safe to assume the following:

  • 5.4-inch iPhone 12 - A2471 with 2,227mAh battery
  • 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max / iPhone 12 Pro - A2431 with 2,775mAh battery
  • 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max - A2466 with 3,687mAh battery

In comparison, the iPhone 11 lineup has the following battery capacity for each model:

  • 6.1-inch iPhone 11 - 3,110mAh battery
  • 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro - 3,046mAh battery
  • 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro Max - 3,969mAh battery

While it may seem disappointing that the iPhone 12 models may have smaller battery capacities, Apple is likely to have made significant improvements in power efficiency on the newer iPhone models. In addition, MySmartPrice spotted a new variant of the 5W charger and a new 20W charger.

The 20W charger was previously reported by tipster @laobaiTD to be bundled with the iPhone 12. However, there are rumours that Apple may not ship a charger with the iPhone 12 this year.
