Apple is expected to bring iPhone-style lock screen customisation options to the tablet lineup with iPadOS 17.

Tipsterr @analyst941 claims lock screen widgets, wallpaper types (e.g. photo shuffle, emoji), photo tints and styles, wallpaper depth effect, clock style customisation, lock screens linked to Focus Modes, and Wallpapers gallery will be available on the iPads running iPadOS 17.

iPadOS 16 currently lacks the lock screen customisation tools that iPhone users have been enjoying. This results in much of the screen unused on the iPad.

Apple will unveil the "latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS advancements" at WWDC 2023 from 5 June to 9 June.
