iOS 14 said to bring built-in translator and Apple Pencil support to Safari

Safari is the native browser for Apple devices.

Safari in iOS 14 may gain two new features according to 9to5Mac.

Based on an early build of iOS 14 obtained by the site, Apple is believed to be working on a built-in translator and full Apple Pencil support on websites in Safari.

The built-in translator is expected to be available as an option on individual websites and allow the translation of the text without reloading the webpage. In addition, this feature may be ported over to other apps as 9to5Mac found evidence of the translation app being tested with other apps such as the App Store.

It does not require an active Internet connection to work as the translation is processed with the Neural Engine. This also means that user privacy is maintained since no data is sent to Apple's servers.

iPadOS 14 may introduce full Apple Pencil support on websites, Besides scrolling and touching websites with the Apple Pencil, users can also draw and markup in Safari. This feature is said to be available for other third-party browsers too.
