The iPhone XS and XR models will be getting CPU throttling feature when iOS 13.1 arrives on 24 September (or 25 September for Singapore).
On its support page, Apple states that the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR will have the power management feature starting with iOS 13.1. The company added that the effects of power management on these models may be less noticeable as they come with more advanced hardware and software design.
The power management feature was introduced in iOS 12.1 to prevent the iPhone from shutting down unexpectedly due to aging batteries. As for the latest iPhone 11 lineup, Apple has a new built-in software and hardware system to monitor the power and performance needs. The system is more advanced than previous iPhone battery and power management systems and helps to minimise performance impacts from battery aging.
