Reports are surfacing around the world that the iOS 12.1.2 update has cut off mobile data services for some iPhone users.

Apple rolled out the iOS 12.1.2 update last week to avoid a sales ban in China and fix an issue that could affect cellular connectivity in Turkey for the iPhone XR, iPhone XS and XS Max, but it seems to cause cellular connectivity issues elsewhere.

According to Forbes, complaints from iPhone users are surfacing on Twitter from North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The issue is apparently widespread in the U.S and India.

We've not seen any reports of similar issues in Singapore yet and Apple has not officially commented on the matter. Apple's official Twitter support is advising affected users to restart their devices and update the carrier settings.
