iOS 11.3 lets you check battery health and disable battery performance throttling
As promised, Apple's upcoming iOS 11.3 update will include a new "Battery Health" system preference screen that will let you check the maximum capacity of your battery (compared to when it was new), as well as disable any performance throttling due to battery issues.
Note that this is not a toggle option setting. Any time your iPhone shuts down due to battery issues, iOS will re-enable performance management. If you want to turn it off again, you'll have to disable it each time.
If your battery's maximum capacity drops below 80%, a new message will pop up directing users to get their battery replaced with a link to the various service options available.
iOS 11.3 is currently in beta testing with a release expected sometime in March. If you want to test out the features for yourself now, you'll need an Apple Developer account.
