The Intel NUC 8 Rugged has yet to be announced but its photos as well as its detailed specifications have been leaked on Koolshare, a mainland China tech portal.
The Intel NUC8CHK, codenamed ‘Chaco Canyon’, is fanless and features a dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 CPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of Kingston eMMC storage. The respective chips are soldered on, without the option to upgrade these components.

In terms of ports, it sports two HMDI ports, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (Type-A, front and rear), and 2 x USB 2.0 ports (rear).
Its VESA mount compatible plastic chassis measures 154 x 108 x 32mm (L x W X H), and the device is powered by a bundled 65W adapter. It’s intended for enterprise use and end consumers may be hard-pressed to purchase it from retail shelves.
