Insta360 just announced the X3, the successor to the One X2 which was released in October 2020.
The Insta360 X3 comes with a 2.29-inch tempered glass touchscreen and a new 1/2" 48MP sensor. The camera can capture 5.7K 360 video with Active HDR, which uses innovative algorithm to stabilise the action footage, reduce ghosting and reveal details in over and underexposed areas.
The dual-lens design enables effects like the Invisible Selfie Stick (where the stick is automatically stitched out of the footage to create impossible third-person views) and Me Mode (where you can shoot invisible selfie shots at 60fps without reframing).
The Single-Lens Mode is upgraded to support 4K video recording and a new extremely wide 170° MaxView at 2.7K. The Insta360 X3 can also capture 72MP photos and 8K 360 timelapses.
Other specs include a six-axis gyroscope, FlowState stabilisation, 360° Horizon Lock, waterproof up to 10m, Loop Recording, Direction Focus audio, and a 1,800mAh battery.
Availability and pricing (updated)
The Insta360 X3 is available for purchase globally now via Insta360.com and select retailers for S$669.99.
