The imoo Watch Phone X10 sounds good on paper, but some niggling doubts need to be answered first.

The imoo Watch Phone X10 has arrived in Singapore to join a small but growing market of smart devices aimed at kids. Whether it's an exercise watch, camera, or watch phone combo, there is no shortage of devices aimed at keeping kids and parents in touch.
Standing out from the rest

So what helps the imoo Watch Phone X10 stand out from the competition like those communication devices from MyFirst or FitBit?
Real time communication: Like the myfirst, the imoo comes with the ability to communicate via real-time video and voice calling and instant messaging, with what imoo calls its Flip and detach camera. During a video call, with a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, parents can switch views remotely during video calls, using the front camera to see their child's face while the rear camera lets them see their child's surroundings.
Track your kids to the level they're on: If you’re a parent, you know the fear of losing them in a playground or shopping mall. The imoo Watch Phone X10 can follow their every step using a Qualcomm 4100 chipset to deliver location information. Then, using the imoo app, I can see my child's real-time location, down to the exact floor that they are on, or if they are travelling on foot, by bike, or in a vehicle and when they’ve arrived safely at their destination.
20m water resistance: whether your child likes to swim, or occasionally gets caught in the rain, the imoo Watch Phone X10 is water resistant up to 20 metres, so your child can keep their watch on when at swimming lessons, or braving Singapore's thunderstorms.
"Bump and Add Friends" feature: imoo says that this feature is “perfect for social settings such as parks, residential communities, or school playgrounds, where children meet and make friends”. But unless the other child also has an imoo Watch Phone X10, I’m not sure how this would work.
Removable camera: The watch face can also be removed and used as a camera. Your kids can capture their own memories of outdoor fun and vacations. For added convenience, all the photos and videos they take with the watch phone can be sent to their families and friends.
Getting them moving: Like mainstream smartwatches, the imoo Watch Phone X10 offers sport data and health tracking, including real-time heart rate monitoring, workout duration, and calorie burn, helping kids stay focused and excited about every move they make. imoo says with rewards, kids will be motivated to turn daily exercise into a fun, rewarding adventure, encouraging long-term healthy habits.
Possible limitations?

However, there are some possible limitations that can prevent your kids from getting the maximum fun out of the imoo Watch Phone X10.
The first is that in Singapore's primary schools, smartwatch usage is generally restricted. While some schools may allow smartwatches, especially for cashless payments, they are often discouraged during lessons and require specific permissions for their use.
Second is that it seems like the watch could be heavy for a child to wear long-term. While there is currently no official weight for it, according to unofficial measurements, it weighs around 60 to 70g.
Finally, with a battery capacity of 740mAh, your child’s level of fun could be cut short depending on the activities chosen. imoo's official statement is that the actual battery life may vary slightly depending on the usage environment, which doesn’t give much clarity.
