HyperX releases a pair of gaming headsets with immersive 7.1 surround sound, one of which was developed in cooperation with Audeze.

Audeze’s patented Planar Magnetic drivers in a HyperX gaming headset? It’s true; HyperX has just announced at Computex that their latest Cloud Orbit S gaming headset was developed in cooperation with Audeze and Waves Technology, thus getting technology from both companies.

The Cloud Orbit S will get Audeze’s patented 100mm Planar Magnetic Drivers and Waves Nx 3D audio technology for an immersive cinematic audio experience. In particular, Waves Nx head-tracking technology is said to deliver a stable, hyper-realistic 360o audio environment where the audio effects in the room are perfectly matched to your head movements. The Orbit S will also get gesture controls for greater ease of use.

Also announced, was the Cloud Alpha S gaming headset. This features dual chamber technology that delivers accurate in-game sound with great range and tone. The dual chamber design lets the headset separate bass from mids and highs that’s creating better dynamics for better movies, music and gaming. It features a bass slider for easy adjustment and includes a custom-tuned audio control box with HyperX 7.1 surround sound.
