Huawei's S$298 Nova 2 Lite has a bezel-less display, face unlock and a dual rear camera setup!

Huawei has unveiled the Nova 2 Lite, a S$298 entry-level smartphone with a bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio display and a dual rear camera setup.

The Nova 2 Lite is one of the first entry-level smartphones with a bezel-less display, boasting a 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ratio FullView Display with a Full HD resolution.

On the rear of the device, there's a dual camera setup that pairs a 13-megapixel lens with a 2-megapixel lens, allowing for background blurring bokeh effects. As for the front camera, the Nova 2 Lite has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an advanced flash for better selfies. The intelligent Selfie Toning Flash automatically detects the light on someone’s face and intelligently adjusts the brightness for a natural-looking selfie. This means that the flash can produce flattering soft light under low-light or even pitch black conditions.

The Nova 2 Lite also sports Huawei's new Face Unlock feature, a facial recognition technology is powered by an AI algorithm to automatically detect up to 1,024 points on the human face and perform high-accuracy mapping. Huawei claims that Face Unlock will let users unlock their screens in less than 900 milliseconds.

The Nova 2 Lite will be launching this Thursday (15th March) at the IT Show at Booths 8139 & 8205, as well as all Huawei Concept Stores, M1, Singtel and StarHub stores, Lazada.sg and Qoo10.sg, and all major consumer electronic stores.
