The Huawei Watch GT 3 follows on from the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro launched earlier this year and the GT 2 from last year. The GT3 however comes in 42mmn and 46mm sizes and unlike the GT2, uses Huawei’s own HarmonyOS. It also lacks the eSIM connectivity of the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro.

They both have the rotating crown feature that lets you scroll through the menu options and are made from stainless steel. The screen resolution for both is 466 x 466 pixels, with the 42mm having a screen size of 1.32-inches and the 46mm having 1.43-inches.

Like previous models, there are 100+ workout modes to get you healthy along with a new AI Running Coach. As mentioned earlier, IoT lacks the eSIM connectivity, but you still won’t get lost as it has an upgraded five satellite and dual-band GNSS that accurately pinpoints your position when on the move.

Using Truseen 5.0+, the new Watch GT 3 features a new generation heart rate that can provide all-day accurate heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, and skin temperature detection to help you monitor your health throughout the day. And with 14-day battery life, you need not fear running out of power.

Watch GT Runner

In addition to the standard Watch GT 3 models, Huawei will also be launching a new, dedicated running edition called the Watch GT Runner. This model is designed to target professional running, probably competing directly with Garmin's Forerunner range of devices. According to Huawei, the Watch GT Runner features a composite fiber watch case, which helps improve durability and enhances GPS positioning efficiency. It also boasts a silicon nitride ceramic bezel and aerospace-grade titanium alloy crown, making the watch only 38.5g light.
