Ahead of tonight’s product announcement at the 2020 Huawei Developers’ Conference, more details of one of the products — the FreeBuds Pro — have now surfaced.

According to Huawei Central, Huawei’s newest TWS earbuds will use the Kirin A1 chip and supports Bluetooth 5.2. Like the 3i, the Pro is an in-ear style earbuds and features active noise cancellation tech. There’s also talk about three built-in microphones and a bone sensor.

But the Pro’s design is quite different from the 3i. For example, the stem is now squarish. It’s also shorter but fatter, probably to better accommodate the beefier 52.5mAh battery.

The case design is also different from the 3i’s. In fact, looking at the Weibo photos on Huawei Central and the leaked product shots on WinFuture, the new earbuds remind me of the AirPods Pro.

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro is expected to come in three colours — black, white and silver — and has a suggested retail price of 150 Euros (~S$242).

Other than the TWS earbuds, Huawei is also expected to unveil EMUI 11, Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro and new laptops at the conference. The company might even reveal details about the upcoming Mate 40 series.
