MWC 2020 might be cancelled but that hasn’t stopped Huawei from announcing new products.

In a pre-recorded keynote, Huawei announced two new Wi-Fi 6 routers that will be available soon.

The first is the AX3. The AX3 is a dual-band AX3000-class router that is powered by Huawei’s Gigahome 650 chipset which features a quad-core processor.

It delivers speeds of up to 600Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 2,400Mbps on its 5GHz network.

If you are using the AX3 with Huawei Wi-Fi 6-enabled phones, the phones can send 6dB stronger signals back to the AX3 routers to boost range.

As for ports, the AX3 features a single Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and three Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports.

No word yet on pricing and availability, but we will be sure to update this article once we get more details.

The second router is the 5G CPE Pro 2. It’s a 5G gateway with Wi-Fi 6 support.

It’s going to be most useful in areas where there’s weak fibre infrastructure. In theory, what it aims to do is connect to super-fast 5G networks and provide internet in a room.

The 5G CPE Pro 2 supports all major 5G bands and can connect at speeds of up to 3.6Gbps on 5G and 1.6Gbps on 4G.

As for its Wi-Fi, the 5G CPE Pro 2 is a dual-band AX3000-class router, which means it’ll supports speeds of up to up to 600Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 2,400Mbps on its 5GHz network.

It has a single Gigabit Ethernet WAN/LAN combo port and one Gigabit Ethernet LAN port.

Huawei says the 5G CPE Pro 2 can also form mesh networks with other Huawei routers with Huawei HiLink Mesh technology.

Again, no word yet on pricing and availability, but we will be sure to update this article once we get more details.
