Huawei AppGallery has a new UI for Singapore and the region as Huawei rolls out a new design that it says will deliver personalised content through its location-based app curation.

To date, Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) says that their official app market is the third-largest in the world with over 530 million active global users, with over 2.3 million partner app developers across the globe. Locally, apps like Grab and TraceTogether are also making their way into the AppGallery.

What the new UI means for Singapore based HMS users is that the AppGallery offers recommendations picked by the content team in the country. If a user from Singapore were to go to the Philippines, then the recommendations would change to the most popular apps in that new country. But the user has the choice on whether or not they want to swap to the new AppGallery.

Users will also have exclusive promotions for their users. Users simply need to complete tasks such as daily clock-ins, app downloads and perform in-app purchases to stand a chance to win rewards such as cashback, free in-app items, coupons, Huawei products and more. These promotions however are locked to the first country AppGallery a user sign’s up for.

Huawei has been rolling these localised AppGallery updates globally with Europe receiving their updates last year. According to the company, the AppGallery's latest UI will be automatically updated on all Huawei smartphones within selected APAC regions starting from 15 March 2021.
