Huawei brings more large-screen productivity tools: MatePad 11.5 LTE tablet and MateBook 16s laptop
Huawei announces pricing and availability of the MatePad 11.5 LTE and MateBook 16s
Huawei announced the local availability and pricing of its MateBook 16s and MatePad 11.5 LTE and they are engineered to catch your attention.
Huawei MateBook 16s
The Huawei MateBook 16s comes with a 2.5K 16-inch touchscreen that has a peak brightness of up to 400nits. First launched at last year's Huawei Smart Office launch, it's 12th-gen Intel processor platform has now been updated to a 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor with 16GB of dual-channel memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Most of its other key features remain intact, such as having an abundant number of ports (with Thunderbolt support), a large glass touchpad, a wonderful typing experience with good key travel, front-facing surround sound speakers, a fantastic screen with narrow bezels and taller looking screen thanks to its 3:2 aspect ratio which is great for reading lots of text.
Not to forget, Huawei's cross-device collaboration feature, Super Device, is also prominently featured, but it's only an advantage if you own other Huawei devices such as its phones, tablets, and peripherals.
One of its newer innovative features is the Huawei Metaline antenna, which allows the MateBook 16s to achieve a long-distance, smooth and stable Wi-Fi connection of up to 270m. Huawei claims its Metaline antenna can penetrate walls so that the MateBook 16s can enjoy stable connectivity even when it is in a room far away from the router.
For users who engage in video calls, the Huawei MateBook 16s has AI Camera and AI Sound to deliver an optimal experience. The FollowCam feature keeps the user in the center of the frame (like Apple's Centre Stage) while the Personal Voice Enhancement helps to suppress background noises so that the user's voice remains clear during the presentation.
Huawei MatePad 11.5 LTE
While Huawei has been offering tablets for a long time now, large-screen options above 10-inch in sizes have been a little expensive, such as the Huawei MatePad (2022), MatePad 11, and certainly the OLED equipped MatePad Pro 11.
The new Huawei MatePad 11.5 LTE tablet is designed for maximum enjoyment in a tablet form factor, complete with LTE mobile data connectivity and keeping it all under S$500. It sports an 11.5-inch FullView IPS Display with a 2.2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio. It has a unibody design made from a whole piece of aluminium alloy and measures just 6.85mm thin.
Running under the hood are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform, 6/8GB RAM configuration options, 128GB internal storage space, HarmonyOS 3.1 and a 7,700mAh battery.
Other specs include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, a quad-speaker setup, a rear 13MP f/1.8 autofocus camera, and a front-facing 8MP f/2.2 fixed focus camera.
- Huawei MatePad 11.5 LTE - Smart Keyboard, backpack, mouse and umbrella with total value worth up to $383
- Huawei MateBook 16s - Buds Pro 2, backpack, thumb drive, mouse and umbrella with total value worth up to $511. You also enjoy up to $200 off when you pre-order on Lazada and Shopee.
