The Huawei Mate X2 may come with an inward folding display

While HJuawei's two foldable phones, the Mate X and Mate Xs, feature outward folding displays, the next foldable phone model from the Chinese company may not.

Commenting on @evleaks' tweet about codenames for Huawei's upcoming devices, Ross Young - founder and lead analyst of DisplaySearch and DSCC - shared that the Huawei Mate X2 will come with an inward folding display similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Young added that the inward foldable display is sourced from Samsung and BOE. It is also not likely to be Ultra Thin Glass (UTG).

It's strange to see Huawei adopting an inward foldable display for the Mate X2. After all, the company believed the outward folding design is better and cancelled a prototype which had a similar design to the Galaxy Fold as it was "not good".
