Huawei launches Freebuds 4i and Watch FIT Elegant Edition smart devices in SG

If you enjoyed using Huawei's smart accessories and devices, you'd be pleased to know that Huawei's bringing updated variants of its true wireless earbuds and activity tracking smartwatch: respectively the Freebuds 4i and the Watch Fit Elegant Edition.

Huawei Freebuds 4i

Like its predecessor, the Freebuds 4i has a conventional true wireless earbuds form factor, active noise cancellation features, and an affordable price tag. However, Freebuds 4i now offer an additional fast-charging feature: according to Huawei, 10 minutes of charging (from empty) nets the user about four hours of audio playback. A full battery offers 5.5 hours of voice calls with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) toggled on and 10 hours without ANC.

Other improvements are in its 10mm dynamic drivers. While the driver size remains the same as before, it now uses a PEEK+PU polymer composite diaphragm for a better dynamic response. It's also housed within a 'wind noise reduction' structure to mitigate unwanted sound. Huawei said that the Freebuds 4i are tuned for pop music.

As with before, the ANC feature returns, but the 4i also features Awareness Mode. The latter allows users to hear their surroundings without removing the earbuds, and one can easily toggle between ANC and Awareness Mode by pressing and holding onto the buds. Improved voice clarity for calls comes from its beamforming dual-microphone system that uses both physical and digital enhancements: a slit-duct design to reduce wind input and AI noise reduction for filtering, respectively.

The Huawei Freebuds 4i officially retails at S$108 from 27 March 2021 onwards at all Huawei Experience Stores, selected consumer electronic stores, including Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Challenger & Hachi.tech, COURTS, Sprint-Cass Online, and official online stores with Lazada and Shopee. Ceramic White will be available at launch, but Crystal Black versions only come on 30 March 2021 onwards, while Honey Red is available only in late April 2021.

For its launch, the 4i will have a special price of S$98 and a free protective casing for the device and carrying case. The launch promotion lasts until 11 April 2021.

Huawei Watch FIT Elegant Edition

Huawei has plenty of smartwatch variants, and we've actually covered the Watch FIT before in our video comparison below:

The Watch FIT Elegant Edition retains the device's fitness tracking capabilities and Huawei Watch FIT Active Edition modes, but Huawei housed it all within a contemporary timepiece design that's suitable even in professional settings.

Also, the Huawei Watch FIT now offers a power-saving, all-day continuous SpO2 monitoring feature that tracks the user's oxygen saturation levels.

The Huawei Watch FIT Elegant Edition is available in Frosty White at S$168, starting from 27 March 2021, at all Huawei Experience Stores, selected consumer electronic stores, including Harvey Norman, Best Denki, Challenger & Hachi.tech, COURTS, Sprint-Cass Online, and official online stores with Lazada and Shopee. Each purchase comes with a free watch strap (worth S$28) while stocks last.
