*Update: The HTC One™ X+ will be available in Singapore at all mobile operators and authorised retailers in Stealth Black and Polar White from November 2012 onwards. It will be priced at S$868 without line contract. As we've reported before, the One X+ coming to Singapore is not 4G LTE-enabled.

HTC unveiled the One X+, an upgraded version of the One X. In short, the new device is stated to be faster, have more storage capacity and last longer than the One X.

The HTC One X+ is equipped with a more powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor (AP37) which has a clock speed of 1.7GHz. The Taiwanese company claims that it is up to 67% faster than the One X. Users can expect faster web browsing, more fluid gaming and graphic rendering.

Seen on the One X+ is the new Sense 4+, which brings several new features such as Self Portrait mode for the front camera, a Tap and Go function for playing music out loud, Video Hub for putting all the videos in one centralized location, and HTC Get Started.

Self Portrait mode allows you to make use of the front facing camera to capture high quality photos by detecting the human face at various angles and applying subtle enhancements to the skin and eyes. A new Sightseeing mode will enable you to bypass the lock screen and launches the phone directly into camera mode by one touch of the Power button.

The Tap and Go function works on Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, where you connect the phone and music to Beats Speakers with one tap. Disconnecting will require another quick tap.

HTC Get Started is a new web service that guides the user through the set-up and personalization process from a desktop web browser. Settings and apps that are chosen on the web service will be reflected on the device at a touch of a button.

Last but not least, the HTC One X+ comes with a larger 2,100mAh battery which will deliver up to 50% (6 hours) more talk time. The One X only comes with a 1,800mAh battery.
