HTC unveils a midrange variant of the U12+ with 6-inch screen and Snapdragon 636

HTC expanded the U12 lineup with a midrange model, the U12 Life. 

Positioned as a midrange phone, the U12 Life sports a 6-inch 18:9 FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, 4GB RAM, Android 8.1 with HTC Sense, and a 3,600mAh battery. Like the U12+ flagship phone, the U12 Life does not have a notch. 

The U12 Life adopts a two-tone design for its rear; the color changes according to the angle of the lighting. It comes in two color options: twilight purple and moonlight blue. The latter looks more blackish in sunlight while the former looks more silverish in sunlight.

Other specs include a dual-camera module (16MP + 5MP), a 13MP front-facing camera, dual Nano SIM support with dual standby and dual LTE, a rear fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, NFC and Bluetooth 5.0.

The U12 Life is priced at 349 euros (~S$556) and will be available in Europe later this month. At time of publication, there is no information on local pricing and availability.
