HP combines the online and offline shopping experience into a new X-Hub

HP’s new experience hub (X-Hub) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, combines a flagship physical in-store experience with an integrated online-to-offline (O2O) platform to create a seamless personalised shopping experience for customers across six key Southeast Asian countries.

The X-Hub unifies the retail experience for customers across the region with the flagship physical store connecting to 82 online stores spread across Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore, with Thailand and Vietnam to follow in March.

Located in the Pavilion Bukit Jalil shopping mall, the flagship store was created in partnership with Thunder Match Technology Sdn Bhd and designed around interactive ‘Test Drive’ stations designed to mimic customer scenarios and activities involving the full range of HP and partner technology from high-end gaming machines, to the latest in office printing technology.

The store also offers access to personalisation services such as custom engraving and printing. Technical help and product queries can be answered in the form of HP Live Advisors in-store or online.

Customers can sit down and enjoy a coffee at the café located within the X-Hub. While at the café, customers can also access personalisation services, such as custom engraving and printing, as well as access a repair drop off area.

HP has created an interactive content showcase and a virtual showroom to help customers better understand HP’s technology and service offerings. The virtual showroom was created by HP last year to give customers have a choice of six experience rooms each showcasing HP technology. 

Online customers can engage with HP Live Advisors, a team of dedicated experts based at the X-Hub, via real-time video calls and chat functions in their preferred local language, and join livestreams on the latest HP products via the HP Virtual Showroom.

Both Shopee and Lazada will be supporting the launch, with regional online commerce partner Shopee holding an exclusive launch in February.
