Honor Magic Vs comes with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and creaseless foldable screen
Honor recently unveiled its next-generation flagship foldable phone, the Honor Magic Vs.
Weighing at just 261g, Honor claims the Magic Vs is the lightest foldable phone in the market. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is a tad heavier at 263g.
The Magic Vs also sports an improved hinge design, which allows the device to fold without gap and offer a creaseless display when unfolded. The new hinge, which is gearless and crafted with a single-piece casting processing technology, significantly reduces the number of components of supporting structure from 92 to just 4! In addition, the hinge is made of aerospace-grade materials that allows it to withstand more than 400,000 folds.
On the front is a 6.45-inch OLED display with 21:9 aspect ratio and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The main foldable OLED display measures 7.9-inches and supports 120Hz refresh rates with brightness up to 800 nits.
Running under the hood are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, 8GB/12GB RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery which supports 66W wired super-fast charging. On the rear is a triple-lens system which include the 54MP IMX800 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide and macro camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Other specs include a 16MP front-facing camera, MagicOS 7,0, and 256GB/512GB internal storage space. The Honor Magic Vs comes in three colours (orange, cyan and black), and is available for pre-order in China from 7,499 yuan.
