Hisense's 2018 4K TVs to get Alexa integration
Chinese electronics maker Hisense, which is also the world’s third largest TV manufacturer and which recently bought Sharp’s TV business, will be introducing new 4K TVs with built-in Alexa voice assistant function at CES 2018. While it’s unclear at the moment how many models in the new lineup will get the Alexa integration, it’s been reported that the 100-inch 100L8D 4K Smart Laser TV is one of them.
High-def Digest reports:
“We are thrilled to bring Alexa voice technology to our Smart TVs,” said Mark Viken, Hisense USA Vice President of Marketing. “While content providers and other TV manufacturers tend to focus on quantity of content, Hisense recognizes that the future is all about simplicity, making it easy for consumers to find and watch their favorite content, play music, control their smart home and more.”
Building voice assistants into TVs to perform tasks beyond the usual TV controlling seems to be a trend this coming CES. LG has also announced that its 2018 4K TVs will work with Google Assistant.
