High-frequency variant of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could be used in the Galaxy S23

The Samsung Galaxy S23 could be using an "high-frequency version" of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Samsung is not one of the phone brands listed to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform soon, and there could be a reason for its absence.

Tipster @UniverseIce shared on Twitter that the European variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 will be using a high-frequency version exclusive to the South Korean company. In addition, he uploaded Geekbench 5's benchmark results of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B) which achieved a 1,504 single-core score and a 4,580 multi-core score on Android 13 and 8GB RAM.

Since Qualcomm and Samsung extended and expanded their strategic partnership through 2030, it is not a surprise that the Galaxy S23 series could use an enhanced variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series are expected to debut in early February 2023.
