Here is what it costs to replace your lost AirPods

After a long delay, Apple's AirPods are finally on sale. And if you have been eyeing them, you have better act quick, because at the time of writing, shipping times have slipped to 6 weeks.

AirPods are essentially tiny wireless headphones, which can be misplaced quite easily. This had led many readers to wonder what will happen if you lose one of them.

Well, you can still use your remaining AirPod, but know that replacing them will be pretty costly.

The AirPods are priced at US$159, and Apple has stated that replacing your one of your misplaced AirPods will cost US$69, regardless of whether the AirPods are under warranty or not.

If you lose the charging case, the replacement fee is also US$69.

The AirPods will come with a 1-year warranty and any service required during that period is free.

But after the warranty expires, Apple will charge US$69 for repairs. If it is a battery-related issue, it is US$49.

Locally, Apple doesn't state the replacement fees for missing AirPods, but it does state that a battery service will cost you S$69, which is pretty close to the US$49 that they are charging in the US.

The AirPods are priced at S$238 locally.
