Halo Infinite's system requirements updated on Steam

Although we're still quite a ways away from Halo Infinite's release on 8 December, it never hurts to check through all your Spartan gear before you set off on Master Chief's next adventure, and that includes making sure your system is even capable of handling the game in the first place.

Case in point, you might want to take a glance through the game's minimum and recommended specifications for PC, which we've listed down below for reference. Of course, you can also find these same details on the game's respective Steam page if you haven't yet bought your copy.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64
  • Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space
  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 50 GB available space

Additionally, if you happened to miss 343's presentation at Gamescom Opening Night earlier this week, you might also like to know that the game will apparently be releasing without two core features - Campaign Co-op and The Forge. For those who may not be familiar, the former is pretty much what it says on the cover, while the latter is basically a map-building mode of sorts.

Needless to say, this announcement didn't exactly sit well with the community, and there are no prizes for guessing why. Even if you don't consider the fact that these two modes have always made up a large part of Halo's appeal, as a fan you'd naturally be incensed to discover that even after waiting a full year longer for Infinite to arrive, it's still not going to release at the full 100% of what it should be. Of course, 343 has since clarified that these modes will be added into the game soon, so for the time being, players are simply going to have to make do with the single-player campaign and the multiplayer, the latter of which was previously announced to be free-to-play.
