G.Skill's Trident Z Neo for Ryzen 5000 CPUs are better than ever
If you want to eek out every drop of performance from your shiny, new Ryzen 5000 CPU, then look no further than the updated Trident Z Neo Series RAM kits that top out at speeds up to 4,000MHz and capacities of up to 64GB.
Currently, there are three configurations as follows:-
- DDR4-3800 CL14-16-16-36 32GB (16GB x 2)
- DDR4-4000 CL16-19-19-39 32GB (16GB x 2)
- DDR4-4000 CL18-22-22-42 64GB (32GB x 2)
G.Skill tested these kits and certified them to work using the Ryzen 7 5600X and 5800X on the Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero and MSI MEG X570 Godlike motherboard.
Targeted at enthusiasts, the ample amount of RAM, high speed, and low latency timings all make great options for your high-end AMD build. However, you should choose these kits based on what you need.
If you’re mostly into gaming, the DDR4-3800 CL14-16-16-36 32GB kit has an extremely low latency of CL14. Generally speaking, the lower the CAS latency (CL), the faster the RAM takes to process data using fewer cycles; that means better performance for your system.
However, if you require more RAM for high-end content creation work, then the DDR4-4000 CL18-22-22-42 64GB kit is the way to go. While it sacrifices a bit on the latency, it still has a higher memory clock speed than the DDR4-3800 kit and doubles the RAM capacity you can plug in while enjoying the nice design of the Trident Z Neo Series RAM kits.
No word yet on local availability, but do watch this space for updates on these memory kits!
