The Google Store - not the online one we have, but a physical store located in the Chelsea neighbourhood of New York City, U.S. - is slated to open on 17 June 2021 according to 9to5Google.

First announced in May 2021 via a Google blog post, the first-ever physical Google Store services both Google customers and the urban campus of 11,000+ Google NYC employees located in Chelsea. According to Google, “customers will be able to browse and buy an extensive selection of products made by Google, ranging from Pixel phones to Nest products, Fitbit devices to Pixelbooks and more”.

The store will also provide a physical avenue for Google product users to seek repairs, get troubleshooting help, experience new Google gadgets or ecosystem services, on top of accessing how-to workshops for some of its products. Google hopes to “explore and experiment with the possibilities of a physical retail space and build upon the experience” with their first-ever permanent outlet.

If you ask us, it sounds like a similar retail experience to a popular, fruit-based tech firm that already has several flagship outlets in Singapore. It's a real pity that a physical Google Store isn’t yet opening here - for now.

Google Store Chelsea still has a special online store page here for browsing (you’ll probably need to tweak your settings to see it properly).
