Google Pixel Tablet may come with a charging speaker dock included

The Google Pixel Tablet has been teased twice by Google thus far (1, 2), but not much about the tablet was shared beyond it carrying the same chipset that powers the Google Pixel 7 Pro and its Android-based Material You user interface.

Past rumours pointed at the tablet possibly packing 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, the use of an LCD panel for its display, and stylus support. New rumours, however, hint at the Google Pixel Tablet possibly being much closer for retail than before.

According to 9To5Google, the publication’s sources claimed that Pixel Tablet might come in a total of four different colours, with two more additions beyond the teased beige and green variants seen at previous Google keynotes. The tablet’s construction would be aluminium with a nanoceramic coating.

It also tallied with previous information about how the tablet packs a Google Tensor G2 chipset, 8GB RAM, and Android 13.

Perhaps more interesting are the accessories packaged together with the Pixel Tablet. According to 9To5Google, the tablet comes in two storage options and both would have a “charging speaker dock” included in the box. The dock uses pogo pins to connect to the tablet and receives power from a barrel jack. There will be no USB-C charging adapter included with the tablet.

Previously, Google teased a charging speaker dock for the tablet but did not indicate that the accessory would be included with the device upon purchase.
