The official launch of the Google Pixel 6 may clash with that of the Apple iPhone 13.

A tipster on Chinese social networking site Weibo claims that Google is tipped to unveil the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro one 13 September. If the claim turns out to be true, this put the Pixel 6 phones in direct competition with Apple as the latter is rumoured to be holding an iPhone event on 14 September.

Google revealed some official specs about the Pixel 6 phones which include the Google Tensor chipset, onboard hardware security chip Titan M2, and an in-display fingerprint reader.

The official renders also line up with leaks, which show a dual-tone finish and a dual-camera module on the rear. The primary rear camera is said to be the Samsung ISOCELL GN1 50MP sensor. Another tipster, Jonn Prosser believes Google will provide at least fivce years of software updates for the Pixel 6 lineup.
