Google Chrome for Mac goes 64-bit
Google has just launched the beta build for the 64-bit version of Chrome for the Mac. While this may not mean anything to the average user, running a 64-bit Chrome browser on the Mac does have its benefits. Since all modern Macs are running 64-bit CPUs inside, running a 32-bit app like Chrome will actually slow down your system. Running a 64-bit version of Chrome will make your system run a bit smoother, but since it's still in Beta, it might be a while before the 64-bit version hits all Mac users.
