Glorious' Model D gaming mouse is an ergonomic version of the Model O

Glorious Model D

Glorious has revealed the Model D, the next in its O.D.I.N series of mice. The company kicked things off with the excellent Model O and O-, both of which offered great design and performance at an affordable price, and the Model D looks to follow in their footsteps.

The ambidextrous shape of the Model O is reminiscent of the shape of Zowie's FK series, but the Model D switches things up with an ergonomic design that looks more akin to Zowie's EC1 and EC2. The Model D also features a similar honeycomb shell to keep the weight down and a paracord-style cable for better flexibility.

Likewise, matte and glossy finishes will be available in either black or white, so you can pick whichever suits you best.

The company has also updated the Ascended cord on its existing mice (you can also buy a standalone replacement cable in different colours), so it should now have a smaller girth and look neater than before. That said, the Model D will probably come with the new cable too.

The mouse will weigh less than 69g, according to Glorious, and launch in December at US$49.99. The company even has a tongue-in-cheek #GloriousD hashtag to go along with it. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
