Gigabyte releases low-profile NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards
Gigabyte has released two low-profile cards; the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 OC Low Profile 2G and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4G. Find out more about these new cards after the jump!

Gigabyte has released two low-profile cards; the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 OC 2G and the GTX 1050 Ti OC 4G. They are ideal for casual PC gamers who are looking to build a small form factor rig. Both cards feature two modes; OC mode and Gaming mode. The cards measure 167mm in length.

Based on the NVIDIA GP107 GPU, in OC mode, the GeForce GTX 1050 OC 2G boasts of a base clock speed of 1392MHz, and a boost clock speed rated at 1506MHz. In Gaming mode, the card dials down its base clock speed to 1366MHz, with a rated boost clock of 1468MHz. The card is coupled with 2GB of GDDR5 video memory.

The higher-end NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC 4G also features the GP107 GPU. In OC Mode, the card operates at a base clock speed of 1328MHz, with a rated boost clock speed of 1442MHz. When set to Gaming mode, the card is rated to operate at 1303MHz, with a boost clock speed of 1417MHz. Its 4GB DDR5 video memory is twice that of the previous card.
The new Gigabyte low-profile OC cards are ideal for SFF gaming rig as they don’t need to draw external power, freeing up a PCIe power cable. In terms of video connectivity options, both cards each feature four ports; one dual-link DVI-D port, two HDMI ports, and one DisplayPort port. We don’t have details about their prices and availability yet, but based on past experiences, low-profile cards are usually priced just slightly higher than their full-length counterparts.
