Popularised by the legendary artist and painter Katsushika Hokusai back in the 1800s, the Japanese ukiyo-e style of painting is now instantly recognisable all across the globe, and with video game developers always hungry for new sources of inspiration, it's no surprise that the art form has found its way into numerous titles over the years as well.

Case in point, the new demon-hunting roguelike called GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon is one of these games, and after spending the past nine to ten months in its Early Access phase on Steam, it's now finally available on PC as a full-fledged title.

Developed by Konami Digital Entertainment and GuruGuru, the game places you in the shoes of a warrior chief called Getsu Fuma, who is tasked with slaying a powerful demon called Ryokotsuki. To do that, he'll have to venture down into the depths of hell, culling any and all of his infernal foes as they come. As the image suggests, the gameplay, though conceptually simple is presented in the aforementioned ukiyo-e art style, which adds a rather unusual, yet undeniably Japanese touch to this interesting hack-and-slash title.

Currently, the base game is selling for S$31.00 on Steam (if you're in Singapore, of course), though interested players can also pick up the Deluxe version for S$43.00
