Genshin Impact’s Version 5.1 update is coming soon. Titled The Rainbow Destined to Burn, the update introduces new content to the Natlan storyline, a new playable character, and the return of the Sumeru festival.

First up is the continuation of the main storyline in Natlan. Players will work alongside the new character Xilonen to forge an Ancient Name for the Traveler. The update also introduces Citali, a member of the Masters of the Night-Wind, who will play a part in the storyline. Players can earn up to 500 Primogems by completing the two new Archon Quest acts within 50 days of the update's release. An additional 400 Primogems can be earned by completing specific world quests and reaching Natlan exploration milestones.

Speaking of Xilonen, she will become available for summon as a five-star Geo Sword wielder. One of her most unique abilities is the ability to skate along a cliff wall. In combat, she can reduce enemies' elemental resistance and provide healing support to her team.

The update will feature two phases of character banners. The first phase introduces Xilonen alongside a rerun of Chiori, while the second phase brings back Nahida and Hu Tao.

The 5.1 update also sees the return of the Sabzeruz Festival in Sumeru, celebrating Nahida’s birthday. Players can participate in various mini-games and activities, including escorting Nahida's carriage through a festival parade. By earning enough event currency, players can claim rewards, including a free copy of the four-star character Candace.

Version 5.1 introduces a new enemy boss, the "Secret Source Constructor," challenging players in a long-forgotten cave in Natlan. Additionally, the update brings several quality-of-life improvements, including new skip features for the Spiral Abyss, enhanced character ascension interfaces, and improved artifact management. All of this will be available on 9 October.
