Garmin's new Lily 2 smartwatch has updated sleep and exercise features

The Garmin Lily 2 smartwatches are available in two models.

Three years after launching the Lily smartwatch, Garmin is back with the second-generation model, the Lily 2 in two options: Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic.

Garmin hasn't changed the design of the Lily, but the construction has been improved. The first-generation model had a plastic model, whereas the new Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic both have aluminium cases and bezels.

Compared to the first-generation model, the new Lily watches also come with modest upgrades in sleep tracking and fitness tracking.

Sleep Score, which is not available on the Lily smartwatch, rates the quality of your sleep with a score and offers insights on how you can sleep better. It also monitors the different sleep stages alongside your heart rate, stress and respiration.

In the fitness tracking aspect, the Garmin Lily 2 now supports 18 sports profiles. This is an increase from the 13 profiles on the first-gen model.

One new profile is Dance Fitness which tracks different dance types such as Afrobeat, Bollywood, EDM, and hip-hop.

Other two new features include Garmin Pay support (only on the Lily 2 Classic) and incident detection safety alerts for selected activities.

Availability and pricing

The Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic are both available now. The Lily 2 is S$379, while the Lily 2 Classic is priced from S$429 to S$459.

Valentine's Day might be over, but it is never too late to get one for your female partner!

You can find the Lily 2 and Lily 2 Classic on Amazon, Lazada, and Shopee.
