The Galaxy S10+ could be the last of its series

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.

Samsung's three-year-old Plus lineup could be retired after next year according to Korean publication The Bell.

The Bell claims that Samsung has been considering to retire the strategy of releasing a "Plus" model after the Galaxy S10+ next year and merge it with the Galaxy Note lineup. Apparently, recent poor sales of premium smartphones caused by a saturating market triggered Samsung to consider this plan.

Combining the Plus product and Galaxy Note lineup could help Samsung save R&D costs in the long run, and avoid the dilemma of having two products having features that overlap one another.

It is rumored that Samsung will unveil three Galaxy S10 models next year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy S series. The flagship model, which is ironically the Galaxy S10+, may sport as many as five cameras
