Future Samsung Galaxy Watches might come with a built-in projector
Samsung is exploring a built-in projector for the Galaxy Watch according to a recent patent filing.
Spotted by Wareable, the patent filing describes a Samsung smartwatch with “a projection display on a side portion of the housing and configured to display information on a display area adjacent to the housing” which could mirror the main screen or be used to display further information."
The patent filing also mentions how the projected display can display information that is different from that on the display of the watch. The kind of information can include still images, moving images and multimedia content.
While the built-in projector feature might not make it to the Samsung Galaxy Watch, Samsung actually introduced a phone in 2010 that had a built-in projector to project almost anything from 5 to 50 inches in screen size.
