Future AirPods may come with body temperature tech and other health features
Apple may be equipping the AirPods with health-monitoring features according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
Based on documents reviewed by WSJ and people familiar with the plans, future AirPods may be equipped with temperature sensors to measure the user's core body temperature from inside the ear. The wireless earbuds may also come with motion sensors to track the user's posture.
Bloomberg published a similar report in May where it claims the AirPods Pro 2 could have new motion sensors with fitness tracking features. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also echoed the same sentiments and says the AirPods Pro 2 would come with "innovative" health tracking features.
Besides the AirPods, Apple is reportedly developing new health-related features for the Apple Watch which include blood pressure monitoring, a therometer to assist with fertility planning, blood gulose and more advanced sleep tracking.
