Fujifilm has announced a new Instax Mini camera, the Instax Mini 40.

As you can see, it's a chic-looking retro-inspired little thing. Fujifilm has a knack for making great-looking cameras and it's good to see them putting this talent towards their Instax Mini line.

If the new Instax Mini 40 looks somewhat familiar it's because it's based on the Instax Mini 11.

The Instax Mini 40 will join the Instax Mini 11 as one of Fujifilm's entry-level instant film camera. It has a 35mm lens, auto-exposure, built-in flash, and just two settings (selfie and normal), and two buttons (power and shutter).

Yes, it's basic, but that's the whole idea of Instax Mini cameras: shoot and have fun.

Alongside the Instax Mini 40, Fujifilm also announced a new instant film called Contact Sheet that's inspired by a photographer's contact sheet.

Like all other Instax Mini film, the new Contact Sheet instant film will come in packs of 10 exposures.

Availability and pricing

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 and Contact Sheet instant film will be available from 21 April 2021.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 is priced at S$169 and will come with two packs of assorted instant film. A single pack of Contact Sheet instant film with 10 exposure is S$15.50.
