Fujifilm Announces X-Pro1 Firmware Ver 2.00
Fujifilm Announces X-Pro1 Firmware Ver 2.00
Fujifilm has released its updated firmware for the Fujifilm X-Pro1.
Consumers can expect a notable enhancement in speed of Auto Focus, improved manual focus and processing/writing speeds. Focusing in challenging lighting conditions where light is low or bright, will now be much speedier in Auto Focus mode. The focusing distance has been improved, allowing you to get closer to the subject and capture a great shot without switching to macro mode.
Also, the speed of the image coming into focus when turning the focus ring has been significantly increased. When adjusting the focus ring - using the electronic viewfinder or the LCD panel on the back of the camera, - it is much simpler to focus, always displaying the image closer to full aperture with minimum depth of field. The 10x magnifications / focus check feature on the X-Pro1 has an additional 3x option available now, and users can find the optimum focus point while viewing the entire screen.
Now, at its optimum speed, the X-Pro1 is capable of writing to the memory card twice as efficient as before. Image playback is also available less than a second after executing the image playback button. Finally, there is a new addition of "Auto (6400)" to the camera's ISO settings.
The dedicated firmware is set to launch on 18 Sep 2012 at 2pm.
**In order to enjoy the enhanced features, users must update the firmware of their Fujinon XF lenses at the same time. The firmware can be downloaded here.
