Man-eating symbiotes are infesting Free Fire.

Garena Free Fire is getting its first-ever collaboration with a movie franchise: Sony Pictures’ Venom! The battle royale game will soon crossover with upcoming sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage, in an event that includes elements from both the antihero Venom and villain Carnage.

Beginning on 10 October, the ‘Embrace the Chaos’ event unleashes a wide variety of Venom-themed content such as in-game items and collectibles upon players. You’ll get to equip Venom: Let There Be Carnage costume bundles and collect other exclusive content too. Sony also teases that when the movie hits theaters, eagle-eyed fans might spot references to Free Fire hidden within it as well.

Producer at Garena, Harold Teo said of the event:

This collaboration with Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a huge milestone for us and our players all over the world. The iconic character reflects a key component of Free Fire gameplay – creating chaos and eliminating enemies to survive – and is part of our commitment to offer memorable experiences for our global community.

A Sony Pictures Entertainment spokesperson also said:

We are always looking for new ways to deliver immersive entertainment to fans. We are excited to be working with Free Fire and its engaged community of players to amplify the Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie experience. We hope that fans enjoy what we have in store for them.
