Foxconn to resume normal operations by end of the month

As new Covid-19 cases in China continue to decline, Foxconn announced that it will be resuming normal operations by the end of the month.

More than half of its seasonal workforce had resumed work. Foxconn’s Chairman Liu Young-Way said the prevention of outbreak, resumption of work and production are the company’s top priorities. While Foxconn assures its investors that the effect on its supply chain was "not that great", the company does not expect to see any revenue growth in the first half of the year.

Reuters reported last month that Foxconn should be able to resume 50% of its production in China by end February. Even though full production is expected to resume by end of this month, it remains to be seen if the several weeks of disruption has affected Apple’s timeline for its product launches in the first half of the year.
