Former Facebook executive joins Apple to lead information system team

With its Chief Information Officer retiring, Apple reportedly found a replacement to lead the information systems team.

People with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg that former Facebook executive Timothy Campos will run the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) department. The IS&T department manages Apple's online services infrastructure, customer support, and website.

Prior to joining Apple, Campos worked in a similar role at Facebook from 2010 to 2016. He also worked in the IS&T team at semiconductor firm KLA Corp.

Apple has been losing a number of senior executives in recent months. Lead product designer Evans Hankey is leaving the company next year. Anna Matthiasson, the vice president of online retail, is also leaving her position. Chief Privacy Officer Jane Horvath left Apple several weeks ago for a position at a law firm.
