Three weeks after entering into Beta version, Flipboard is finally available in the Google Play Store for Android devices running 2.2 and above. Besides Google's app store, Android users can also download Flipboard from Amazon App Store for the Kindle, the Barnes & Noble Nook App Store and Samsung Apps.

The official version of Flipboard for Android is integrated with two new major services: Google+ and YouTube. Similar to Facebook and Twitter, connecting your Google+ account to Flipboard will enable you to see the social activities in your Circles in the magazine format. You can also "+1" an article from within Flipboard or tap the status update to share, comment and reply. Similarly, you can also flip through your YouTube subscriptions, uploads, favorites and popular feeds.

Five new localized editions are also launched - Germany, Korea, Italy, Spain and Netherlands. This brings the total number of localized editions to 14. The localized editions come with a fully translated interface and many reading recommendations by local editors.

The release of Flipboard for download on other Android devices effectively marked the end of its exclusivity on the Samsung Galaxy S III but we reckon this won't have any impact on consumers' decision to get the handset.
