A trailer for Wes Anderson’s next film, The French Dispatch, has just launched and it is a doozy. The film is described as, “a love letter to journalists set at an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city.”

Watch the trailer below:

The French Dispatch unfolds much like an anthology, telling the stories of the team behind the newspaper (the eponymous French Dispatch), as well as the people they write about. Many Wes Anderson regulars return for his latest outing, including Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormand

Benicio del Toro, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Jason Schwartzman, Elisabeth Moss, Henry Winkler, Edward Norton, Liev Schreiber, Saoirse Ronan, Willem Dafoe and Kate Winslet will also star. How’s that for a star-studded cast?

The French Dispatch seems to showcase more of Anderson’s uniquely dazzling style with colourful sets, fast-talking characters and gorgeous cinematography. After films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr. Fox, Anderson’s movies are practically must-sees at this point.

The French Dispatch will hit theatres on July 24, 2020. The movie is on our must-see list of 2020!
