Mac users who can't wait to get their hands on the new macOS High Sierra will be happy to know that the first public beta of Apple's new OS is now available.

macOS High Sierra was announced earlier this month at WWDC 2017 and will bring loads of new features and under the hood improvements.

The Photos app, for instance, will get a reworked user interface and more editing options, while Safari will now automatically block those annoying autoplay videos and advertisements.

macOS High Sierra will also transition all Mac devices to the new and improved Apple File System, which promises better performance and greater efficiency with storage space.

For readers who want to give macOS High Sierra a shot, head over to Apple's Beta Software Program website and register.

Since this is a beta, we recommend that you do not install it on your primary device. Also, remember to backup your system before installation.

Have fun and let us know what you think about macOS High Sierra.
