Firmware update brings new features to ASUS' RT-AC68U router

Given its excellent performance and features, it is no wonder that the ASUS' RT-AC68U is one of the most popular Wireless-AC routers in the market today. And thanks to a new firmware update, the RT-AC68U is about to get better.

Apart from the usual bug fixes and slight performance enhancements, the new firmware update for the RT-AC68U also enables Ai Protection and Adaptive QoS. These two features were first introduced on ASUS' new flagship RT-AC87U router.

Ai Protection is a built-in anti-spyware and anti-malware utility that active scans incoming packets of data, whereas Adaptive QoS uses advanced algorithms to adjust traffic based on current user demands and loads.

To update your routers, you can either go to your router setup page to do so or you can manually download the new firmware here from ASUS.
